 Sing Tao Daily ได้รายงานว่าคณะกรรมาธิการความเป็นส่วนตัวสำหรับข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลในฮ่องกงกำลังพิจารณาว่าจะจำกัดการเข้าถึง Telegram หรือไม่

 รายงานดังกล่าวมีขึ้นหลังเมืองที่แต่งตั้งผู้นำคนใหม่คือ จอห์น ลี ซึ่งเป็นแกนนำของกฎหมายความมั่นคงแห่งชาติที่เป็นประเด็นขัดแย้ง ซึ่งกำหนดโดยปักกิ่งในปี 2020

Hong Kong Considers Telegram Ban 

The Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data in Hong Kong is deliberating whether to restrict access to Telegram, the Sing Tao Daily has reported.

The messaging service is apparently being targeted with scrutiny for alleged widespread doxxing practices on the platform.

The report follows the city appointing a new leader, John Lee, a vocal supporter of the controversial national security law, imposed by Beijing in 2020.
